About Me
Wendela van Uchelen creates art that explores the crossing point of ancient art and contemporary abstract. She uses a wide range of materials such as bronze, stone, wood and iron.
Her art is dynamic, poetic and harmonious. It does not suggest finality, but rather a continuum of movement, ongoing conversation and formation.
Some pieces are cast in unfinished bronze, allowing for the elements and human touch to create the work’s patina. Some consist of differing parts, which the owner can position in varying constellations.
Wendela likes her artworks to be considered as signposts. Signposts to inner visions, which have taken a 3D form. The works appear to us as friends in our home or landscape.
This website is an introduction only. Wendela welcomes visitors to her home and workplace in the middle of The Netherlands.
